Volunteering in the library is FLEXIBLE

You can volunteer while your scholar's class is in the library or at any other time that works for your schedule.

Once you are trained you don't necessarily need to be in the library while a library media tech is in there.
Volunteering in the library is VERSATILE

You can work with kids

And/or catalogue books

and/or label and shelve books

We Accept:

Books appropriate for ages 5-14

Paperback/hardcover books in good condition

Fiction & non-fiction books
We Do Not Accept:

Encyclopedias
-
Lift-the-Flap books
-
Sticker books
-
Board books
The Library Media Tech will review each book and decide whether or not to add it to the library's collection.
Unless directed otherwise, all donated books that are not incorporated into the KPSVA Library collection will be offered to KPSVA teachers and/or donated to the Opportunity House.
If you would like to use the monetary value of the donated books to go towards volunteer hours, please contact Ms. Castillo.
